Guild castles exert influence over nodes within their domain, including:[1]
- Levying taxes for the purposes of defense (additional to taxes already imposed by node governments).
- Activating events and abilities that progress node citizens.
- Unlocking additional types of buildings in nodes.
Nodos de castillo
Castles have 3 adjacent nodes in close proximity.[2]
- These castle nodes exist outside of the node system.
- Being a member of the guild will automatically make you a garrison of the castle nodes and castle itself.
- Only the guild who occupies the castle can participate in the development these nodes.
- The guild must develop those nodes to enhance the defenses of the castle.
- Castle nodes cannot exceed stage 4 (Pueblo) and are always military node types.
Asedios a castillos
Los gremios participan en asedios a castillos en un intento por capturar y ocupar uno de los cinco castillos de gremio en Ashes of Creation.[5]
- Estos asedios se desarrollan una vez al mes dentro de un horario de máxima audiencia del servidor.[6][5][7][8]
- El objetivo mínimo es que haya 250x250 jugadores en un mismo campo de batalla. Se espera que, con el tiempo, pueda aumentarse a 500x500.[9][10][11][12]

Un gremio que capture un castillo será dueño de ese castillo durante un mes antes de que vuelva a ser asediado.[19][20]
- Each week leading up to the siege week... is a week that's dedicated to one of the three castle dedicated nodes. So around the castle there are three nodes. They represent week, one, two, and three; and then the fourth week is the siege against the castle. Those can only be elevated up to stage three. - Cuando los castillos cambian de manos (trás un asedio), algunos impuestos se quedan en el castillo y otros en el gremio.[23]
