Moonstrider mule was a Kickstarter mount reward for backing at the Warrior of old level or higher.[3]

The Moonstrider mule, is a hybrid mule that acts as a slower mount though also allows for the transit of goods (on a much smaller scale than the caravan system). This little guy has some cool saddle bag animations on his sides that show the contents moving around during movement.[3]

Mulas

Mulas are mounts that transport cargo in small crates.[5][6][7] Larger sized crates cannot be transported by mule.[5]

Q: How will mules work with caravans when considering risk-versus-reward? What would be the incentive to run multiple player protected caravans if similar results could be achieved by each individual player riding a mule instead?
A: You are not able to satisfy the type of cargo capacity that's available within a caravan system, because we have certain crate sizes, of which only the smallest crate size can be leveraged with a mule. That is something that obviously is the inherent risk between the two systems. The reward however is that you are now no longer subject to the opt-in event, but instead are governed by our flagging system as a protective measure; although it is not entirely protective, because players can choose to still kill you with risk of corruption in exchange for the reward of taking your shit.[5]Steven Sharif
  • Crates carried by mules can be added to "in the wild".[6]
Q: Can people put crafted bags on their mules?
A: No. The mules use the cargo system, so the cargo system is crate-based. You have to acquire the crates and then you can equip them to the vehicles and/or mules. Mules cap out at the small crate value; and you can add to that crate in the wild.[6]Steven Sharif

Crowdfunding mounts

Kickstarter/El verano de la financiación mount rewards are obtained and utilized by applicable backers in the following way:[8]

  1. Basic mounts are obtained through an early quest that is available to all players in starting areas.
  2. Players assign cosmetic skins to a character on their account from the account management page.
  3. The skin can then be applied to change the appearance of the mount that was earned in game.
    • This does not remove the skin itself. It can be applied again to any other applicable mount in the future.
    • Players may remove the skin from a character and assign it to another character on their account.
    • Skins can only ever be active on one character and one mount.

The Dawnbreaker mount skin is used in a similar fashion as described, but is only applicable to a certain class of mounts. Aquatic mount skins, like the Tidesnapper, are also used in a similar fashion, but are only applicable to the aquatic class of mounts.[8]
